April 11, 2024, 7 p.m.

Learn more about the various transportation projects going on in Ventura this Thursday at the Midtown Ventura Community Council meeting. The meeting starts at 7 pm in Cooper Hall at Grace Church, 65 MacMillan St.

Jeff Hereford, Ventura’s principal engineer for transportation, will discuss transportation projects are being planned and what’s currently being implemented. Hereford will discuss the new pedestrian crossings at Five Points, which was recently completed. The safety enhancements will help make Midtown Ventura a better place to pedestrians and bicyclists.

The MVCC is also looking at ways to work with the City to apply for grants/funding to add more ADA compliant sidewalk access ramps on street corners near Blanche Reynolds School and around the Channel Drive and Preble Avenue neighborhoods.

The Ventura Police Department will provide an update on crime in Midtown Ventura as we move into the holiday shopping season.

For more information about the MVCC, contact Chair Karen Flock at 805-850-2591
