Learn about a new land trust acquisition that includes Two Trees, get an update on the Ventura County Fair and find out what bicycle and capital improvement projects are slated for Midtown Ventura at the MVCC meeting on Thursday, July 13.

treesonhillThe meeting starts at 7 pm in Cooper Hall at Grace Church, 65 MacMillan Ave.

Leading off a full agenda will be an update on bicycle projects in Midtown and around Ventura by Derek Towers, bicycle coordinator for the City of Ventura. Ventura City Civil Engineer Jeff Hereford will do a similar talk on capital improvement projects in the pipeline for Midtown and around the city. The board has asked Towers and Hereford to discuss planned improvements at Five Points, where Main Street, Thompson Boulevard and Telegraph Road merge.

Richard and Bonnie Atmore are discussing their Rancho San Buenaventura Conservation Trust and the plans to acquire 752 acres from Lloyd Properties. Lloyd Properties previously donated 860 acres, which included one of the Two Trees, to the trust.

Fans of the Ventura County Fair learn about what it takes to stage the fair, August 2-13 at Seaside Park, from Fair CEO Barbara Quaid and pick up discounted presale admission and carnival tickets.

The Ventura Police Department will update any crime issues in Midtown Ventura
