The Midtown Ventura Community Council will hold its monthly general meeting this Thursday, April 13, with a look at new development in Ventura and a presentation from Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association.

TacoDeThe meeting starts at 7 pm in Cooper Hall at Grace Church, 65 MacMillan Ave.

Ventura’s Community Development Director Jeff Lambert will give an overview of city-wide projects and their status of being built. He will focus on Midtown projects and will also answer questions regarding development issues in Ventura.

Teri Helton, program manager and outreach liaison with Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association will give a presentation and have handouts for “The Importance of Fall Prevention,” which will be helpful for seniors and for residents caring for their aging parents and relatives.

The Ventura Police Department will give an update on crime in Midtown Ventura and how to prevent becoming a crime victim.
