Eat out and support a great cause at the next Midtown Ventura’s Food Truck Friday on Aug. 19 at the Pacific View Mall.

A portion of all sales goes to the Midtown Ventura Community Council, which is using the money for its Midtown Commons project. The extensive project involves revitalizing a city parking lot between Main Street and Thompson Boulevard.

About 20 gourmet food and dessert trucks are expected to participate in Food Truck Friday that takes place from 5-9 pm in the Trader Joe’s lot. The event features live music along with free face painting and balloon animals courtesy of the Pacific View Mall.

Trucks expected to participate include Cousins Gourmet Lobster, The Grilled Cheese Truck, local favorite Scratch and The Middle Feast, which won season 5 of The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network.
