The Midtown Ventura Community Council will host its annual holiday gathering on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Midtown’s Discovery Ventura.

Join your neighbors and friends for food, drinks and bowling from 7 to 9 pm at the entertainment venue, 1888 E. Thompson Blvd. The holiday gathering is in lieu of our monthly meeting.

As part of the holiday gathering, the MVCC board is recognizing several of its partners for their contributions for the recently completed adopt-a-school project at Loma Vista Elementary School. Receiving citizenship awards include Clark Construction, Surfrider Ventura County Chapter, and Brodersen Associates. Also being recognized is the Pacific View Mall and Loma Vista principal Marlene McMullen.

The MVCC will provide light hors d'oeuvres, while drinks and dinner are available for purchase. Discovery Ventura also offers bowling, billiards and shuffleboard.
